Prof. (Dr.) Malay Gangopadhyay

A distinguished academic leader with more than 20 years of teaching, research and academic administration experience, Dr. Gangopadhyay has played a pivotal role in strengthening academic quality, curriculum development, outcome-based education, accreditation initiatives and research promotion across the institution.
His research interests span RF & microwave engineering, microstrip antenna, communication systems, signal processing, embedded systems, VLSI design, wireless communication, the Internet of Things (IoT), image processing and emerging intelligent technologies. He has contributed more than 100 research papers to reputed national and international journals, conferences and edited volumes.
He actively guides research scholars, mentors faculty and students, and fosters interdisciplinary research collaborations — promoting a vibrant research culture and industry-academia interaction that contributes substantially to the academic reputation of IEM Kolkata.
